Just finished writing 10 haikus for Miss Kitty Landers. Next Wednesday will be the last "Fortune of the Week" for a while, and I need to come up with a new production model to release content this summer. I absolutely love the 8mm app on my i-phone and figure I can a ton of quick "Kitty Ditties" as a self-tape. I'm just not 100% on the context of why these little poems or confessions should be happening. Will keep brainstorming. Whatever I do, I want them to be easy to record -- it will give me more flexibility to come up with topical content on the fly.
All the haikus are about summertime. I tried to think back to those days of yore, between school letting out sometime in June and the first day back when planning your outfit took a week. Summertime FEELS different in LA than on the East Coast. Since there's less contrast, it's just not as dramatic a shift. Not as humid, either. I love that humidity. And the sound of cicadas at night.
